CALL WAITING ID

While you are on an existing telephone call and a call waiting signal arrives, this feature allows you to view the calling party’s name and directory number on a Caller ID display unit hooked up to your telephone. You can then decide whether to interrupt your current conversation or not take the incoming call. Notes: In order for Call Waiting ID to work, you must have an Enhanced Caller ID display add-on unit or a telephone with an analog display services interface (viewing screen). Not all display units or telephones are compatible with this service. The name and number may not appear on your screen if the incoming caller has a “private number” or has blocked their number from being transmitted with the call. The incoming call may also come from an area where the name and number cannot be transmitted due to technology limitations. You must subscribe to Call Waiting and Caller ID to use this service.
