New Turnout Gear has Arrived! The majority of our new turnout gear which was purchased by grant money totaling $75,000+ has arrived. Firefighter were excited to recieve their new helments, coats, pants, boots and gloves.
New Fire Truck in the Works! Our new fire truck is currently 'under construction'. We are hoping to have it in service toward the end of this year. Check out the following link for pictures our dealer sent us as our truck takes formation.
Department of Insurance Ratings In a continuing effort to lower homeowners insurance rates in our district, members of the fire department have been looking hard for potential waterpoints around the area. Ponds near the roadway that could be easily accessible by a firetruck and have a capacity of at least 30,000 gallons of water is exactly what we are looking for. We are hoping to eventually have enough water points so that if a structure catches on fire at any given address in our district, crews would not have to travel more than a mile and a half to the nearest water point. This makes shuttling water much faster and reduces the risk of running out of water while fighting the fire. If you know anyone that might have a potential water point in the Coleridge-Erect area whom would be willing to let the fire department use the pond for training and emergency water supply, contact us using the information at the bottom of the page.
